sustainable Unidome application at EDGE Friedrichspark

On the way to net zero - sustainable Unidome application at EDGE Friedrichspark

The EDGE Friedrichspark office complex with 39,000 square metres of gross floor space is currently under construction at Wriezener Bahnhof in Berlin. As a property developer, EDGE is known for its pioneering work for a sustainable future for our built environment. For example, the office complex will be operated with a 100% green energy concept. Furthermore, a clinker-efficient cement is used, which will significantly reduce the CO2 footprint. The use of Unidome void former in all floor slabs ensures high material efficiency. Thanks to Unidome technology, almost 900 cubic metres of concrete will be saved in the construction project. This means that a load reduction of 2250 tonnes can be achieved and approx. 190 tonnes of CO2 emissions can be avoided. Unidome Group would like to thank everyone involved in the project for their excellent cooperation.
